Harold Peltz Obituary
He was born on September 21, 1929, on the Old Peterson Farm in rural Waconia, MN to John and Louise (Ehrenberg) Peltz. He attended a local country school in his earlier years and later graduated from Waconia High School. On June 7, 1950, Harold was united in marriage to Irma Arndt at St. John's Lutheran Church in Young America, MN. Together, they built a life rooted in hard work and devotion-spending several decades farming side by side. In 1984, Harold began a new chapter working for the Three Rivers Park District, where he remained until his retirement in 2013. A man of remarkable dedication, Harold was known for his tireless work ethic and his drive to always stay busy. When time allowed, Harold and Irma enjoyed quick weekend getaways up north, finding joy and relaxation in moments away from the farm. They were longtime members of St. John's Lutheran Church in Buffalo.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Irma; son, Richard; parents; sisters, Alice McClure, Mary Luedtke, Grace Marquardt; brothers, Ralph, Karl, Roy, Kermit, Albert, and Herbert Peltz; and daughter-in-law, Linda Peltz.
Harold is survived by his sons, Edward and David Peltz; grandchildren, Patrick and Thomas; great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held Monday, April 28, 2025 at 1:00 PM with visitation one hour prior at The Peterson Chapel, 119 Central Avenue, Buffalo, MN. Interment to follow at the Scandia Cemetery in Waconia, MN.
