Patricia L. Wachs

1948 - 2025

Patricia L. Wachs, age 76, of Waconia passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Suite Living Senior Care in Shakopee.

Memorial service 2:00 PM, Friday, January 17, 2025 at Waconia Moravian Church (209 E. 2nd Street) in Waconia with Pastor Charlie McDonald as officiant. Gathering of family and friends one hour prior to the service. A reception will be held following the service.

Patricia Lee Bickford was born August 25, 1948 in Mauston, WI, the daughter of Lyle and Lulu (Grim) Bickford. She grew up in Mauston until her teenage years, when the family moved to Mound, MN. There, she attended junior high and graduated from Mound Westonka High School.

Later on, Patricia moved to Waconia where she lived most of her years. She worked at Mackenthuns and managed the Deli. Faith, family and community were important to her. Patricia delighted in volunteering in the church and serving on church offices. In her free time, Patricia enjoyed sewing, quilting and crocheting. She also cherished time spent with others in her book club and playing cards.

Positivity always beamed from Patricia. She held a reserved and pleasant spirit and was a tremendous support to all who needed her. Patricia treasured her grandchildren and her example of gentleness and joy will live on in them. She will be dearly missed.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents Lyle and Lulu Bickford; sisters Merle Hess, Janet Bickford; brother-in-law Dick Johnson.

Patricia is survived by her loving family: children Hunter (Vanessa) Hilten of Watertown, Callum (Tracy) Hilten of Watertown; grandchildren Timothy (Tori) Hilten, Anthony Hilten, Nicholas Hilten, Maya Hilten, Brady Hilten, Bailey Hilten, Tanner Hilten, Myles Hilten, Gabriel Hilten; great-grandchildren Ethan, Levi, Carter; brother David Bickford of Long Lake; sisters Virginia (Larry) Walsh of Northfield, Susan Johnson of Maple Grove; other relatives and friends.
