Brent Althoff Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Brent Althoff, who joined his heavenly family on July 19, 2025, at Sholom Hospice in St. Paul, MN, from Glioblastoma (Brain Cancer). He was 45 years old.

Brent was born at Kanabec Hospital on January 9, 1980, to Gordon and Marlene (Olson) Althoff. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Mora, MN.

After graduating from Mora High School, Brent pursued various career interests. He found his perfect place when he joined the Farmington Fire Department. He was a natural leader and enjoyed mentoring fellow firefighters while always prioritizing his service to the Farmington community. He was energized by the balance between his career life and firefighter life, while always making time for his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his dogs, Rocky and Bella; and his parents, Gordon and Marlene.

He is survived by his dog, Flip; his sister, Julie (Cody) Metz.

Rest in peace, Brent.
