Donna Wiedenman Obituary

Donna Wiedenman passed away on October 10, 2025, with her family close by.

Donna was 83, born July 13, 1942, in Carroll, IA. As the second born in a family of eight, Donna was raised in Mt. Carmel, IA. She went on to study and graduate as an RN from the St. Catherine's School of Nursing in Omaha, NE. After moving to Minneapolis and while working as a surgical nurse at the University of Minnesota Hospital, she met her future husband. Donna married Douglas M. Wiedenman on August 22, 1968, and enjoyed 57 years of marriage with Doug. In addition to being a loving wife and mother, she had many interests, including painting, garage sales, thrifting, gardening, and travel. She especially loved spending time with family and friends. Donna was a beloved mother and grandmother.

Donna is survived by husband, Douglas of Burnsville, MN; her daughter, Jennifer (L. Marc) Mitchell of Monticello, IL; her son, Boyd (Charlotte) Wiedenman of Aiken, SC; her five grandchildren, Lauren and Linden Mitchell, Benjamin Thomas, Caroline, and J. Walker Wiedenman; her sisters, Marilyn Korbach and Elaine (Bill) Seaman; and her brothers, Steve (Sandy) Koren, Alvin Koren and Myron Koren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Verna Koren; and her sisters, Deanna (Paul) Anderson and Eileen (Randy) Schleisman.

She was truly loved by all who knew her, for her kindness, concern for others, her wonderful laugh and sense of humor.

A Celebration of Life is planned at the Royal Cliff Event Center, 2280 Cliff Road, Eagan MN, 2:00 - 4:00 PM, Saturday November 15.

A special thank you is offered to Minnesota Hospice and Arbor Lane Memory Care in Burnsville for their superb care and kindness. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Association.
