Richard was born in Ottawa, IL to Emil and Eva Charlier of Dayton, IL. He graduated from Ottawa High School and attended Northern Illinois University completing his education at Wausau Technical Institute studying architectural design and drafting. Which resulted in a life-long career as an architect, designing incredible homes, cabins and commercial real estate.
Richard met Joanne Dooley at Northern Illinois University who became the "love of his life" for 62 years. The newlyweds relocated to Minneapolis, MN starting their lives together and ultimately chose Apple Valley, MN to raise their family and continue to design magnificent homes.
Dick especially enjoyed time with his friends and family, (wife) Joanne, (sons) Mark, Mike and Misty (daughter-in-law) and (grandsons) Michael and Jacob, currently serving in the U.S. Military.
Memorial services will be held at White Funeral Home, Apple Valley on Friday, February 14th. Visitation 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, service at 12:00pm.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, we are requesting donations to Our Lady of Peace Hospice Home (2076 St Anthony Ave, St. Paul, MN 55104) where Dick experienced incredible care with family and friends before passing.
