Carl James Lizana Jr.

Carl James Lizana, Jr., 36, of Gulfport, MS, passed away April 23, 2011. He died as a result of long term injuries sustained from a car accident in 2001.

Carl was an avid race car enthusiast and an all-around star athlete. We rejoice with Carl, as his body is well again.

Carl was born September 22, 1974 to Lydia and Carl J. Lizana, Sr., also of Gulfport, MS, who survives. He is also survived by his children, a daughter, Ragan D. Lizana, 12, of Destin, FL, and a son, Gavin N. Lizana, 11, also of Destin, FL; a sister and brother-in-law, Elisha and John Dudney, of Biloxi, MS; two nieces, Courtney and Karlie Dudney, and a nephew, Tre' Dudney, all of Biloxi, MS. He is also survived by countless aunts, uncles, and cousins who will also miss him deeply.

Carl was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lucille and Paul Lizana, of Pass Christian, MS, and his maternal grandparents, Kizzie and Russell Robinson, of Gulfport, MS; as well as an uncle, Eddie Lizana, of Saucier, MS.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Carl's life with love, laughter, great stories, and fond memories at the Living Waters Church, 19028 Saucier Lizana Road, Saucier, MS at 6:30 p.m on Thursday, April 28, 2011.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up at any Keesler Federal Credit Union branch in Mr. Lizana's name.
