Catherine Case "CeCe' Henderson, age 53, of Gulfport, died Saturday, January 8, 2011 in Gulfport.

Proceeded in death by her father, Mike Henderson.

Survivors include her husband, John Case, a daughter, Chanda Case, mother, Vickie Henderson, brothers, Doug Henderson, Mickey Henderson, and a niece, Amber Davis.

A prayer service will be held at 11 am Saturday, January 15, 2011 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church where friends may visit from 10 - 11 am.

.. Cathy was my best friend all through my school years.. we where inseperable..i spent a summer vacation with her and her grandmother in gulfport miss..first time i ever had biscuits and white gravy ..i tried for years to make it and it always turned out tasting like flower and oil pasty....her Uncle had a plant nursery and he could take his eyeball out but couldnt always get it back in..and she would have to help him put it back in..i thought that was the coolest thing..we where like tom sawyer and huckleberry finn ..only female versions .. we where both tomboy's .. we did a lot of exploring on that vacation ..checking out the haunted house, walking down to the beach ..going to night-time baseball games .. and smoking her grandma"s cig's in her grandpa's old car.. viceroy's ..man where they nasty..i was adopted into her family.her dad Mr. Mike said he was going to start claiming me on his taxes. because i spent so much time on Karen dr. in lakeside..morgan city . i have such fond memories of our times together.. we where like always scheming together ..one night we decided to sneak out.. and scare mickey and doug her little brothers who where camping out .. we got down in the kitchen she told me to turn on the light over the sink ..i hit the garbage disopsal instead it had a fork in it.. man was it loud clanking noise ..and her mama & daddy jumped out of bed.. her dad was a very big man ..tall as a tree.. and a cop to boot.. he had one of those cop hair cuts that made him he look really mean.. thank God he liked me.. anyway he came out with his big boxer drawers pulled up to his neck and mom mrs. Vickie in her rollers and she could really cut a mean eye at you. but had the most beautiful smile as well and every now and then you could catch mr. Mike smiling too.. He was soft hearted.. but firm ..i was so scared that night..i dont remember if we got in too much trouble that night.Cathy and i both said we where hungry at the same time like we had practiced it .. and here we where both in street clothes.. we where a mischeivous pair.. but not what you would call bad ..fortunate for me.. her parents both loved me and treated me as one of there own .. i learned how to do chores there .. which was a good thing.. mama never let me do any of it.. so if it wasnt for Cathy i wouldnt know how to wash clothes..i still cant cook.. i visited her twice as an adult passing through to go to FLa. the first time i was taking my kids mikki & brad to visit my grandfather in st. augustine Fla. ..we sat around her kitchen table reminicing & i met her husband John that day too she told me how they rode motorcycles for various charity's . .. which i thought was so awesome.. and i saw her daughter Chanda who was just a precious baby doll ..she was sitting in a high chair ..i hadnt seen Cathy in awhile but knew that she felt blessed to have a wonderful husband and precious baby girl...i left there knowing she had found her inner peace and happiness.. which made me feel so good inside..we lost contact when i moved away from m.c to huntsville alabama.. i loved her like a sister and loved her family as my own .. she too was loved as a daughter by my family as well... i have searched the web trying to find Cathy on facebook ..i didnt want to find her this way.. but I know she has gone to a better place..she will be missed by many but NEVER forgotten..we all need to keep her memory alive in our hearts.. and she will always still be with us in that way.. i lift her family up in prayer ..anyone knowing how to get intouch with her daughter Chanda please let me know i have some wonderful stories to share with her..
