Edsel G. "Scotty" Scott

April 1, 1931-February 9, 2013

Pensacola, FL

Edsel G. "Scotty" Scott, born April 1, 1931 in Lyman, MS where he met and married his wife of 62 years, Dorothy (Moran) Scott.

He joined the Navy right out of high school and served for four years during the Korean War. He retired from Federal Civil Service at Pensacola Naval Air Station in 1988 after 37 years. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents, F.D. and Ida Mae Scott and two brothers, Joe and Jim Scott.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; 4 children; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends for visitation at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Tuesday, February 12, 2013 from 12-2:00 PM with services to begin at 2:00 PM.
