Lizana, MS
Edward "Joe" Ladner, age 79, of Gulfport, passed away on April 17, 2013 in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leander Ladner and Minerva Ladner; sisters, Iva Mae Hamel; Ida Mae Aaron, Sylvia Ladner, and Lois Dangler; and brothers, Roland Ladner and Sherman Ladner.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Joyce Ladner of Lizana; four children, Eddie (Sherran) Ladner, Roger (Amy) Ladner, Elaine Ladner, and Mickey (Nancy) Saucier; siblings, Nemoia (Charles) Creel, Joby (Debbie) Ladner, and Orene Ladner (sister in law); eight grandchildren, Shelene (Adam) Knight, Shanna Ladner, Mia (Chad) Lee, Nicole (Tommy) Ladner, Andy Ray Patton, Joseph Saucier, Wade Saucier, and Allison (Greg) Laney; nine great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Lizana. A barber for 56 years, he owned and operated The Corner Beauty and Barber Shop in Gulfport for 47 years. A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a member of the VFW and American Legion and was a past president of the Jaycees.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 19, 2013 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 10:00 AM at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Lizana with a visitation from 9:00 AM until the Mass. Burial with military honors will follow at Wedgeworth Cemetery.

The Loss of Uncle Joe has sadden the hearts of so many love ones, as well as so many friends. He seem to enjoy his life to the fullest. I for one will miss his smile and most of all his love. He was a loving Uncle . Miss you already Uncle Joe. Love to you forever. Myra

Joe gave both of my boys their first haircut...back in 1973 and 1975. There were many more haircuts he gave, but those stood out to this mom who has lost one son...maybe they shall meet in heaven? I hope so. Thank you, Joe, for wonderful memories.

I love you so much and I know you are with your mother and my mother your sister. Thank you so much for what you said in the room that night in the ICU,even though any men don't think so YOU did..
