Fred G. Triplett, Jr. 69, of Purvis, MS died Monday, October 18, 2004 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS.
Mr. Triplett was a retired salesman for S.H. Kress and former owner of Tripp's Variety Store. He was a member of Clear Branch Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Myree Triplett; his first wife, Audrey Triplett of Purvis.
He is survived by his wife Alice Triplett of Purvis, MS; two sons, Freddie Triplett III of Purvis, MS and Kenny Triplett of Gulfport, MS; a step-son, Blake Malone of Trinity, AL; two daughters, Debbie Smith of Kemper, TX and Alesia Dueitt of Hurley, MS; a step-daughter, Kelly Walker of Atmore, AL; a sister Joyce Ryals of Fredricksburg, VA; 18 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2004, at Hulett-Winstead Purvis Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 21, 2004, at Clear Branch Baptist Church in Lamar County. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
