George G. "Buster" Higgins III died peacefully on April 21, 2015 in Biloxi, MS at the age 89.

George was born on June 5, 1925 in Grand Bay, Alabama. He graduated from Marion Military Academy in Alabama. George served honorably in the Navy during World War II aboard the USS Hodges (DE-231). He worked for F&F Distributors of Biloxi for 35 years. He was also an avid and talented skeet and trap shooter. George was known as a wonderful family man.

George was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Nancy Higgins of Biloxi.

George is survived by his sons, John Higgins and George Higgins of Biloxi.

He donated his body to University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. George will be interred at a future date at Biloxi National Cemetery with full military honors.
