Mrs. Geraldine Broussard Suarez, age 77, of Saucier, MS, joined her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, when she passed away on December 10, 2016. Mrs. Suarez was born in Biloxi, MS, where she resided with her husband of 59 years, Louis "Pete" Suarez. After Hurricane Katrina, Mr. and Mrs. Suarez moved to their home in the country where she enjoyed gardening outside and visiting with her family and friends. Mrs. Suarez was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Alton Broussard, Sr. and Mrs. Irma Robbins Broussard, as well as her beloved daughter, Mrs. Janeen Suarez Sablich.
Mrs. Suarez is survived by her husband, Pete, and three children, Ricky (Cathy) Suarez of Rock Springs, Georgia, Lonnie (Lisa) Suarez of Vancleave, MS and Lorraine (Guy) Jermyn of Woolmarket, MS. Mrs. Suarez also leaves behind cherished memories in the hearts of her four grandchildren, Michael (Kristen) Suarez of Ocean Springs, MS, Nathan Jermyn of Woolmarket, MS, and Collin and Hannah Sablich of Saucier, MS, along with two great grandchildren, Austin Suarez and Emily Suarez of Ocean Springs, MS. Mrs. Suarez is also survived by three brothers, Terrell (Betty) Broussard of Vancouver, WA, Alton (Debbie) Broussard, Jr. of Mobile, AL and Michael Broussard of Orange Beach, FL and her sister Joyce (Tom) Stubbs of Watumpka, AL. Also sharing in the loss of Mrs. Suarez are many special brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a countless number of friends.
Mrs. Suarez displayed a never-ending love for God and her family and friends. She never met a stranger and would offer a smile, hug, or encouraging word to anyone who needed it. Even during her time of illness, she tried her best to make everyone laugh and expressed concerns for the needs of others.
Whether you called her Geraldine, Gerry, Mom, Sis, Mawmaw, or Friend, you knew she would always answer the call, just as she did in serving the Lord with her life. For this, she is reaping her rewards for eternity while we take joy in knowing we will see her again some sweet day.
Visitation for friends will be on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Howard Avenue Chapel of the Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. A funeral service will be on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Ramsey Creek Baptist Church with a visitation at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Peter Mallet Family Cemetery in Saucier, MS.

Dear Pete & all of the Suarez Family, we offer our sincere condolences and know a wonderful woman "Geraldine" will rest in peace with Jesus Christ for all eternity. On many occasions, when we would meet, we agreed that we should visit, but like attending her "Wake" a storm stopped us. Pete's cousin "Nita" hid my keys and wouldn't let me drive. Our prayers are with all the family and especially with Geraldine's soul.
