Henry Narcise Dick, Jr., 61, beloved husband, father, Paw Paw, son, brother, and uncle passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Thursday, December 27, 2007.
Henry, a native Biloxian, was proud of his Back Bay roots and family lineage dating back to the founding of Biloxi. He graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1964, from Perkinston Junior College in 1966, and from the University of Mississippi in 1968. At D'Iberville High School he taught chemistry and served as football coach for the Warriors from 1968-1976. Henry later worked for Ingalls Shipbuilding and then as a chemist for Mississippi Power Company until retirement.
Henry is preceded in death by his father, Henry Narcise Dick, Sr.
Henry is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, JoAnn Van Court Dick, and his sons Henry N. Dick, III (Laurie), and Steven B. Dick (Faye), and cherished grandchildren, Cameron, Emily, Isabella, Gavin and Bryson, all of Biloxi. Henry enjoyed sharing his love of Disney World and Disney movies and memorabilia with his children and grandchildren. He was happiest planning and leading family vacations to the Magic Kingdom.
"Rocky," as he was affectionately called by his family, is also survived by his mother Norma Dick Mattina, brother Richard F. Dick (Carol), sister Claire D. Jones (David), all of Biloxi, sister Carol Ann Holley Stentz (William) of Phoenix, AZ, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, December 31, 2007 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM, followed by interment at Southern Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Henry's name to the Retired Priests' Home Fund at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 2090 Pass Road, Biloxi, MS 39531.

JoAnn,
I was saddened to hear about Henry's passing. I remember the time he was shopping for a dishwasher (I think) and you were on the phone trying to describe the color 'almond.' You and the family are in my thoughts & prayers.
