Jack Goldin Obituary
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rubin and Bessie Goldin.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Florence Goldin of Gulfport; his children, Melvin (Ronna) Goldin of Memphis, Alan (Hope) Goldin, Martin (Amy) Goldin, and Steven (Debbie) Goldin, all of Gulfport; his grandchildren, Kayla (Jason) Salomon, Joshua (Nadine) Goldin, Betsy (David) Becker, Jason (Alina) Goldin, Ryan (Naomi) Goldin, Bethany (Marc) Levee, Stacy Goldin, Melissa Goldin, Scott Goldin, Michael (Carly) Goldin, Jodi Goldin, and Russell Goldin; his great grandchildren, Aaron, Batya, and Ahava Salomon, and Rebecca, Mason, Maya, Isabella, and Jacob Goldin; and a sister, Mrs. Margie Schwartz of Dallas, TX.
Jack was born in Latvia and came to the United States with his family at the age of 4. He was married to Florence for 61 wonderful years. He was a founder of Goldin Industries. He was a founder and past president of Congregation Beth Israel and Gulf Coast B'nai B'rith. He was past president of the Gulf Coast Chapter of the Institute of Scrap Iron and Steel; an active leader of Boy Scout Troop 301; and a board member of the Salvation Army.
The most important thing to Jack was his family and he said they made him proud every day.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Tom Blanks and staff and Jack's caregivers for their loving care.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Congregation Beth Israel, 12277 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport, MS 39503.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at Southern Memorial Park, Biloxi. Please call 228-539-9800 for the graveside time.

Jack Goldin was a wonderful and generous man and I am eternally grateful for him and especially recall him giving me the job at the junkyard where I worked for months saving money to move to Israel. May his memory be blessed.

He was a great man, who held his family so close. He shall always be in our hearts. A lot can be learned from the legacy he left in his family. My dearest condolences to the Goldin family.
