Joyce Veronica Adkins attended Tugaloo College and was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Joyce Adkins passed away Sunday, July 1, 2012 in Ocean Springs, MS at the age of 56.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dea. Hugh Adkins and Mrs. Velma Adkins, daughter, Trudy Adkins, grandparents, Dea. Elijah Greer, Mrs. Anna Greer, Rev. Thomas Adkins and Mrs. Annie Adkins, her brothers, Gregory Adkins and Ronnie Adkins, and sister, Juanita Adkins.
She is survived by her siblings: Mrs. Janice (Raymond) Dedeaux of Gulfport, Adrian Adkins of Biloxi, Vernon (Kizzy) Adkins of Long Beach, Dea. Hugh (Bernice) Adkins, Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA, Geneva Adkins of Greenwood; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be 2PM Friday, July 13, 2012 at St. James Baptist Church in Gulfport. Visitation will begin at 1:30PM. Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery. For her complete obit visit WWW.MARSHALLFH.COM. MARSHALL FUNERAL HOME.
