Saddened to hear the news of Larry's passing. He was an avid hockey fan that I last saw at the Gulfport airport in February when he was picking up family and I had flown in to mine. I gave him tons of Washington Capitals merchandise as I knew his love of the sport. Larry sat next to me a few times at the Surge games. There are many memories of him and it's truly heartbreaking that he is no longer with us or there for the boys. Rest in peace and give the Hockey Gods a good talking to.
Sent from, Okinawa when he was stationed there.

I knew Larry through his Uncle Tim and Aunt Janet...Larry, Pat, Terry and Larry's Grandmother, I met you so many years ago. I believe it was way back in 1987 right after Christmas. Larry Lee took a part of my heart with him when he left this earth, and the rest of my heart is breaking for his 2 young sons. Although I never met Max and Mason, I could tell through conversations we had about them, and through photos, what enormous love he has for them both. When we were just teenagers, Larry and I went up inside the St. Louis Arch. Good thing we did that when we were young, because we both hate heights! He had such a passion for living life to the fullest, (saying what was truly on his mind) and making his dreams happen. We could all learn from that. He will be missed more than you can imagine.

LARRY AND PAT - SUE AND I AND BOBBY ARE SAFE BACK IN VIRGINIA NOW BUT I LEFT SO MUCH OF MY HEART IN BILOXI. LARRY LEE WAS MORE OF A SON THAN A NEPHEW TO ME AND I WILL ALWAYS CHERISH MY THOUGHTS OF HIM. I AM SO THANKFUL THE LAST THING I DID WITH HIM WAS TO GIVE HIM A BIG OLD HUG AND TELL HIM I LOVED HIM SO MUCH AND HE RIGHT BACK AT ME. IT'S OBVIOUS FROM THE HUGE TURNOUT THAT HE HAD SO MANY FRIENDS AND FAMILY THAT LOVED HIM. I WAS HONORED TO BE ALLOWED TO CARRY HIS CASKET. GIVE MY LOVE TO MAXWELL AND MASON AND SHERI AND ROCKY FOR ME. LOVE, MIKE/UNCLE MIKE

Such a good and caring friend. I saw Larry almost every week. He'd come by and change my AC filter or do some other little chore for me and we'd have a little lunch. My last text message from him: "How are you my sweet friend? I'm going diving and I'll be by next Friday and see you over lunch hour." I can't believe you aren't here anymore. I will miss you so much! He always talked of his boys and their activities...so intensely sorry for their loss.
March 22, 2012
Pat and family, I was stunned and saddened when I heard of the death of Larry. I saw him last summer, he came by my appartment, we had a nice visit and he is so sweet and caring. I know you have always been proud of him, but to lose a son is about the most horrible thing that can happen in anyones life. I know. Take care of your self and give my love to Larrys boys, he loved them dearly.
May God Bless and Protect the family.
