Mrs. Thorton, you were a great teacher. I'm so glad that you were the one who taught me. I miss your laugh, and I'm glad that I got to see you at blockbuster for one last look at your smile, before you went away.

Soyez ouvert de vos rêves, les gens. Embrassez qu'éloigné étayez. Puisque notre voyage mortel est au-dessus de tous trop tôt.~
Be open to your dreams, people. Embrace that distant shore. Because our mortal journey is over all too soon.~David Assael
As a child I remember and eager mother always ready to chaperon, or help out at the class party, or Halloween booth. Someone seemed to be the "fun Mom." but soon Elementary School passed, and I soon was in a small room with sixteen student, who had a hard time speaking English let alone French but there again was the same smiling face, and with out any word the calming feeling came over us all, and some thing new to learn: pronunciations, and "Spinach Cows" echo in the room still. So i ask myself now will she be missed, as for me I no for every time I touch the water to swim, or speak French, her laughter will echo in my soul and there again we are with her.

Ah, that Time could touch a form
That could show what Homer's age
Bred to be a hero's wage.
'Were not all her life but storm
Would not painters paint a form
Of such noble lines,' I said,
'Such a delicate high head,
All that sternness amid charm,
All that sweetness amid strength?'
Ah, but peace that comes at length,
Came when Time had touched her form.

Mrs. Thornton was a good person, and one of my favorite teachers. I am sure all of her former students from Mercy Cross would share in giving their condolences to her family. I never knew a student who didn’t like her.
