Ocean Springs, Mississippi - Margaret B. Horton, age 91, of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2021, in Ocean Springs.
Ms. Horton "Betty" was born on September 4, 1929. She was always a caregiver. She worked for many years helping at the Ocean Springs Hospital. Her spirit and loving care assisted many who worked and arrived there. Potato salad prepared by Ms. Horton and her sister, Peggy, was always a dessert to the family and friends. Her zest for life continued until the end, always helping and encouraging the family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Horton, her mother, Leona Hughes King, sisters, Isabella King Burnhan, Joann King Husley and Peggy Necaise, son, Tommy Horton and daughter, Beverly Sue Horton.
Survivors include her daughters, Leona (Charles) Petitjean and Margaret Anne Rucinski, grandchildren, Anthony C. (Jillian) Petitjean, Amy E. Petitjean, Anna (Guy) Wilson, Trina (Roger) Mateo and Christi (Curtis) Underwood, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Many thanks to Southern Care Hospice and caregivers for diligently assisting in Ms. Hortons care.
Private services will be held.
The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
