Mrs. Mary Villalpando, of Biloxi, MS. went to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Friday, August 1, 2008. She was a devoted Catholic and an active member of Our Lady of Fatima Church where she was also an Eucharistic Minister. She was a devoted military wife for 58 years. During those years they spent much of their time traveling the world, meeting up many times with their friends of the Burtonwood Association. For the past 34 years she and her husband proudly owned M & L Gifts in Edgewater Mall, there they made many of friends. She was also active in organizations throughout her life; Girl Scout and Brownie Troop Leader, school teacher, Sunday school teacher. She was also retired from civil service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mary Sharkey of St. Helens England. She leaves behind her husband, Louis C. Villalpando, and Four Daughters listed in order by age: Mary Gasparro and husband, Paul, of Marietta, Ga. with their children, Mary Harvey, Paul Jr. Gasparro and Elizabeth and her husband, Jonas Carvalho, who have 2 children, Colton and Cameron; Linda Mobley and her husband, Larry, of Biloxi and their children, Larry Jr. and wife, Candice, and their children, Cameron and Callie; Melissa Williams and her husband, Michael, of Biloxi; Jason and Ashley Mobley also from Biloxi; Anne Villalpando of Biloxi and Son, William "Edward" Sells, III from Oklahoma, who is presently deployed in Iraq; and Barbara Baxter and her husband, Joe, also from Biloxi. She left behind one brother, Tommy Sharkey, of St. Helens England. She will be missed by many friends. She had planned to retire and spend time with family and friends. She was truly a great woman who was loved by so many people. She was our inspiration and rock in life.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 5, 2008, from 6 until 8 p.m. with recitation of the Rosary at 5:30 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Pass Road, in Biloxi. A Mass of Christian Burial is 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2008, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 2090 Pass Road, Biloxi, MS 39531, or to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Memorial/Honor Program FH, One St. Jude Place Building, Memphis, TN 38148-0552.

Momma, I love and miss you, so much so, words do not exist to describe loosing you or the emptiness it has left within my heart. You were such a very special lady. I am eternally grateful for the time we had, but ever so sorry it was not longer or for any pain ever caused you. Praying I see you, again. It is selfish the want to have had you here longer, knowing you are in a better place, with God. You now have wings. Mom, you are an angel.
Good night God bless, I miss you terribly and love you forever. Have sweet dreams my Momma, lovingly your daughter, Anne xoxoxo

My thoughts are with you all. Aunty Mary was a very special person and everyone who knew her will miss her in some way. I spent a summer vacation in Biloxi and my aunt went out of her way to ensure that I had a memorable and enjoyable stay. She was a very thoughtful person and I remember how she used to make time to write her weekly letter to my nana. Nana loved receiving these letters and always kept us up to date with your news. Love to you all. Susan xxxx

May and I will always miss the friendliness and smile that Mary had. Mary and Louis hosted the Burtonwood Association reunion which will always be remembered as one of the best. Mary loved to show off her "city". She is now at peace with her lord. Our love and sympathy is with the family during this time of sadness.

We send our deepest sympathy to all of you. Aunty mary was an exceptional person, little in body but big at heart. We will miss her visits to UK badly. For Pina it is like losing her mum for the second time. Ena and Mary were like two bodies in one soul and now they are reunited as one spirit. We share your grief in this time of your greatest loss. She will always be looking down on us and will never leave our hearts

Mr Lou and Family,
You have my deepest sympathy. Mrs V was a small frame person with a big heart who gave her all. I met Mrs V 18yrs ago, while working in the classified department at the Sun Herald, after transfering from classified, she would still call me to take care of her ads. I would often stop at M&L Gifts to talk with her. Mrs V was a very unique person, she will be missed. Mr. Lou and the girls, "remember weeping endure for a night but joy comes in the morning".

My deepest sympathy to you all. I share your sense of loss. Mary was one of those very special people that we are sometimes just drawn to. She was one of my favorite people, and I certainly enjoyed her rare good company when we were at our Reunions. She will be so sadly missed, but I know I'll see her again in the Heavenly Kingdom, and I know she'll be saving me a seat,(just as she always did). May God bless and keep you all and ease your pain.
