Preston Marion Reeves
March 23, 1932 - December 28, 2020
Greenwood, Mississippi - Preston Marion Reeves, age 88, formerly of Greenwood, MS passed away December 28, 2020. At age 17 he entered the Navy serving his country during the Korean War. After completing his tour of duty, he enrolled at Delta State College and graduated with a degree in Business.
He married Betty Milling of Morton, MS and enjoyed a happy marriage of 53 years. With a long career with Merchants Bank, he later retired as a Senior Vice President with Whitney Bank. After retirement he started a new venture helping others as a funeral home greeter with Bradford-O'Keefe for 12 years.
He is survived by wife, Betty, daughter, Laura Brown (Ted), grandchildren, Mary Claire and Reeves, and sister, Ann Lott. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gladys and Wade Reeves, Sr., two brothers, Wade Reeves, Jr., and Duncan Reeves.
The family is asking all memorials gifts to be directed to either of his beloved churches:
First United Methodist Church Gulfport, 2301 15th St., Gulfport, MS 39501 or Apostles By-the-Sea, P.O. Box 611 151, Rosemary Beach, FL 32461.
A private service was held at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport. Interment was in Biloxi National Cemetery.
