Mr. Revernal Paul Ladner, 74 of Pass Christian, passed away at his home Sunday, May 21st. He was born Thursday, February 4th, 1943, the 5th of eleven children to Purvis & Pamela "Jack" Ladner, at their home in rural Harrison county. He came to be known as "Puddy", and grew up in the Lizana community, where he enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping and hunting. He would make his home in the Dedeaux community, where he and his loving wife Peggy raised their family, and have lived for 56 years. Puddy worked in the shipyards for many years as a fitter/welder, as he provided for his family. He will be remembered as a person who would give you the shirt off his back. He would help anyone, no matter what. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and will be sadly missed, from his recliner to the back porch, by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Peggy Ann; his children, a daughter Vanessa Malley (Bubba), and three sons, Doyle (Janet), Kirby (Starr), and Cedric (Carrie) Ladner; 3 sisters, Geniva Necaise (J.C.), Merle Dean (Jarvis), and Eva Gay McKay (Coy); 4 brothers, Cotton (Joan), Reginald (Verna Mae), Earnest (Gloria Ann), and Austin Ladner; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grands, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents, Purvis & Jack Ladner; a son, Sydney Ladner; a great-grandson, Keagan Peterson, a sister, Mary Ann Deschamp, and 2 brothers, Garvis and Jason Ladner. The family will receive friends for visitation from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 24th, at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry, followed by a service in the chapel. Interment will be at Wolf River Cemetery. Trinity is honored to assist the Ladner family in this difficult time. Please keep Ms. Peggy, and all the family in your prayers over the coming days.
