Gulfport, Mississippi - Robert Holmes Oswald, 97, passed away at USA Medical Hospital Trauma Center Thursday, August 28, 2025. Robert was the third and youngest child born to Charles Alfred Oswald, Jr. and Jeanette Bibby Oswald on January 26, 1928 in Birmingham, Alabama. He married Betty Jean Robinson Oswald at Zion Baptist Church, Mobile, Alabama in 1966. He is survived by his three daughters, nine grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Yesterday
One of the finest men I´ve ever known has left us - I so enjoyed working with Judge Oswald during my years at the law school at the University of Mississippi. And Betty-I rarely saw one without the other! We talked of all things "coastal", but we really hit it off comparing all of our travels. Both will be missed mightily. Truly two of the best.
