Cookie was a great man. I am sorry I have not posted sooner but I just found out about it. I was in DHS when he worked there. He would always make you smile even if his days was not the best ones. He will be missed and remember all the good times we had with him. Steph just remember he was always proud of you and will be watching over you. If you need someone to talk to give me a buzz. I can not think of your name Cookies girl, he always talked good about you and I thank you so much for what you have done for him in these hard times. I have not meet you but I use to stay with him and go out there all the time. I wish i could have meet you. maybe sometime we will meet up when I come back to MS.

Darlene, we were so saddened at the news of "Cookie's" death, and I am so sorry that I was unable physically to conduct his services, or to even attend his wake. I have missed him at dialysis, and enjoyed the times that we used to go and have breakfast after dialysis. He was a true friend. We found this prayer, and thought it so appropriate:
Fisherman's Prayer
God grant that I may live to fish
For another shining day;
But when my final cast is made,
I then most humbly pray,
When nestled in Your landing net,
As I lay peacefully asleep,
You'll smile at me and judge that I
Am good enough to keep.
We love you, and you will be in our daily prayers.

My deepest sympathies to your family. I attended D'Iberville High School and will never forget "Cookie". He was such a nice man who genuinely cared about people. You could always pull him off to the side and share a joke, or a funny story about a teacher, and he would share some of his own. I am sure he had an impact in a lot of young people's lives, like he did mine.

To all of Cookie's loved ones,
I send heartfelt sympathy to all of you. Cookie had the will to live because he struggled so hard. As you know dialysis is so hard and he preservered through it all.
Now the suffering is over for Cookie, he is with GOD and all of the angels.
The hardest part for the loved ones is getting to the place where the memeories bring joy and not tears, that day will come.

Darlene and Stephanie,
Jon, the kids and I want to extend our condolences to you and the family for your loss. Cookie was a great man, a great brother in law, a great father, grandfather, and uncle. We will really miss him. He always made us laugh at dinners or just hanging out. I even remember 3 1/2 yrs ago when he was so scared to hold the boys. And now I am glad we have those pictures to remind us of him. Too bad we didn't get that opportunity with Zoe.
Stephanie, He'll always be watching you and I know he was always proud of you.
