Ruby Thomas Obituary
Ruby Florence Thomas, 84, of Bay St. Louis, MS passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 in Bay St. Louis, MS. She was born in Saucier, MS and was a lifelong resident of Bay St. Louis, MS. She was a member of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #77 in Waveland, MS, and Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, RSVP, and SCOWI Carnival Organization. Ruby was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be sadly missed by family and all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gustave D. Thomas, III, son, Curtis A. Thomas, Sr., daughter, Brenda A. Thomas, and grandson, Raymond J. Thomas, Jr. parents, John F. Shavers and Allie L. Dobson, 7 brothers, John F. Shavers, Clifton Shavers, Jesse W. Shavers, Jack D. Shavers, Curtis L. Shavers, Luther M. Shavers, and Harold N. Shavers, 2 sisters, Ethel S. Saucier, and Rose S. Ainsworth.
She is survived by her 2 sons, Gustave D. Thomas, IV, & wife, Val of Lincoln, NE, Raymond J. Thomas, Sr. & wife, Cindy of Bay St. Louis, MS, 4 daughters, Pamela T. Metzler of Bay St. Louis, MS, Joy T. Richardson & husband, Dave of Bay St. Louis, MS, Christine T. Barnes & husband Melvin, Jr. of Bay St. Louis, MS, Lisa T. Haas & husband, Kevin of Kiln, MS, daughter-in-law, Carol Ann Thomas of Bay St. Louis, MS, and sister, Irene M. Reid of D'Iberville, MS. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be held on Friday, August 29, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, MS. The Procession will leave the Funeral Home on Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 9:45 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Bay St. Louis, MS. Intombment will follow in Cedar Rest Cemetery in Bay St. Louis, MS.
Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, MS is in charge of the arrangements.

Ole Ruby- where do I begin. I have always known that i was lucky to have such an outgoing woman in my life. You have taught me to be strong, have fun, be a little stubborn when needed, stand up for what I believe and most of all to love everyone. You were truely a spectacular woman who raised such a beautiful family. Thank you for giving me such a wonderful mother (Joy). I pray that you are at peace and will miss you greatly!!
