Sharon Anese Girouard

Ocean Springs, Mississippi - Sharon Anese Girouard of Ocean Springs, MS passed away in New Orleans, LA on Saturday, July 17, 2020 at the age of 65.
A native of D'Iberville, and longtime resident of both Biloxi and Ocean Springs communities, Sharon was a graduate of D'iberville High School, a little league coach, and a Girl Scout Troop Leader. She will be remembered for her charitable giving to Children's Miracle Network, and the managing of several food service venues throughout the years. She was currently happily enjoying her retirement.
Sharon was of the Catholic faith, and was a longtime member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Biloxi where she served as an usher, and in whatever capacity was needed by her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Emma and Oley Barnett; brother, David Barnett; sister, Karen Barnett; father and mother in law, Henry (Sue) and Gertrude Girouard.
Sharon is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years, Larry Paul Girouard; her children, Kevin Girouard (Sarah), Kelly Blake, Kathy Ackley (Jason) and Kenneth Girouard; her siblings, Brenda Fendley (Sonny), Susan Franklin (Chester), James Barnett (Kim); her grandchildren, Alex Blake, Anna Blake, Olivia Ackley, Owen Ackley, Henry Girouard and Samantha Girouard; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and dear friends.
The family would like to thank all of their family and friends for their prayers, care and attention to our family during this most difficult time. A special thank you also to all of the medical healthcare personnel for the excellent compassion and work throughout this difficult time.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. following the visitation from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at St. Michael Catholic Church, Hwy 90 in Biloxi.
