Stella Bell Obituary

Stella Bell, age 81 and a resident of Long Beach, died on Friday, August 21, 2009, in Gulfport.

Mrs. Bell was a native and lifelong resident of the MS Gulf Coast, and was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Long Beach.

Mrs. Bell is preceded in death by her parents, John M. & Nora C. Ladner; her brothers, Y.T. & Ivy Ladner; her sisters, Ella Marshall (her twin sister), Olivia Bailey, and Ovina Clark, and a grandson, Chase Dennis.

She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Steaven Bell, Sr., of Long Beach; her children, Lisa Lucente and Steaven Bell, Jr., both of Long Beach, and Betty Gross of Lizana; her brother, Ralph Ladner of Long Beach; her sister, Beatrice Shaw of Bay St. Louis; her five grandchildren, Chandler and Nina Dennis, Adam, Davis, and Steven Dunn; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2009, from 6-8 p.m. at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road in Long Beach.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 24, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Long Beach, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery in Gulfport.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to The Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi, 800 Avery Blvd., Suite 100, Ridgeland, MS 39157.
