Steven Parks Obituary
Nov. 14, 1955 - April 10, 2016
Choburi, Jomtien, Thailand
Formerly of Gulfport, MS, passed away April 10, 2016, in Choburi, Jomtien, Thailand after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. A decorated Navy veteran he served his country with distinction and honor.
Steve lived a life of adventure, traveling around the world as a pilot with Delta Airlines. He was a gifted athlete, an accomplished scuba diver and photographer. He was a compassionate son, father, brother and devoted friend.
He is survived by his loving companion Tudka, Choburi, Jomtien Thailand, who cared for him during his extended illness; daughter Mesha K. Parks, Marysville, WA; mother Donna Parks, Gulfport, MS; and brother Cary J. Parks, Hampton, VA. He was preceded in death by his brother T. Scott Parks, 2007 and father James M. Parks, 2013.
A memorial service is pending at a later date. There will be drop-in visitation with the family on Sunday, April 17, 2016, from 4:00 - 6:00pm, at 916 E. Beach Blvd., Gulfport, MS.

I still remember when Steve, I flew with Steve to Seidel, LA. I was visiting family in Gulfport.
He was not in the Navy. I also remember when he graduated Navy Pilot in Corpus Christi, TX.

I failed to mention what a great friend Steve was, he enjoyed showing off Thailand, a country that he loved. His first love besides his family was his partner Tukta. She was Steves Angel, she was aleays there by his side, and he repeatedly told me that she took such great care of him helping him navigate all things associated with his illness. Peace to Steve and Tukta.
