Gulfport, Mississippi - Susan Powell Lenes, age 70, of Gulfport, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James E. and Eugenia S. Gillikin.
Susan is survived by her husband of 36 years, Peter A. Lenes; sons, Chad Allen Lenes (Jeanne) and Sean William Lenes (Victorianne); granddaughter, Saylor Elizabeth Lenes; and other relatives, Ann and Lee (Foeste) Eldredge.
Susan (Tuliputs) was a native of Virginia and a current resident of Gulfport, MS. She graduated from Patrick Henry High School in Alexandra, VA. Susan was skilled in multi-level marketing. She worked for President Ford in the White House, she worked in the Pentagon, and PTO's at children's schools. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, her sons and granddaughter, recipes, Elvis, lemon drop martini's, lifelong friendships, and whiskey snowball punch. Susan was of the Methodist Faith.
Susan never met a stranger. She brought love and joy to all who were blessed to know and love her. Her love for her family and friends always shone brightly in her eyes and contagious smile. Susan could always find a reason to bring joy and laughter.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church-Gulfport Building Fund or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
