Thelma Mae "Moonie" Diddlemeyer, age 60, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2007 in Biloxi.
Born October 10, 1946 to the late Minus and Selema Bourgeois, Mrs. Diddlemeyer was a lifelong resident of Biloxi. Moonie, as she was affectionately known, had a lifelong career in the pest control business. Starting out at Mel's Pest Service for many years, she then went to Brewer's Pest Service where she worked for many years, ultimately becoming owner and operator. Throughout her career, she met numerous people, many of whom became lifelong friends to her.
She was a warm and welcoming soul who never met a stranger and would do anything for her friends and family. Her family was the most important thing in the world to her. She loved them dearly as they did her. At her home, you would always find a warm welcome, a meal, good conversation or just a hug and the biggest heart around. You never left Moonie feeling unwelcome.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Gussie Bourgeois; a son, David Thomas Gray; and a grandson, William Thomas Franklin.
She leaves to treasure her beautiful memory, her husband of 31 years, Harold; a sister, Emily Diddlemeyer (Lawrence); two daughters, Tina Bond (Brandon Burchfield) and Debra Franklin (William); three sons, Darrell Gray, Jeffrey Gray, and Wayne Gray (Wanda); nine grandchildren, Kaylynd and Kristian Trosclair, Ashley Franklin, Lindsey and D.J. Bond, Jali Burchfield, and David, Chelsea and Maddy Gray; four great-grandchildren, Jordan, Amaya and Chance Franklin, and Aaron Bryant, Jr.
She also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends, too many to count. She will be greatly missed and remembered fondly by everyone who knew and loved her.
Friends are invited to join the family for a Celebration of Life Memorial Service on today at 2:30 p.m. at Riemann Memorial Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi. Following the service there will be an hour of gathering and visitation in the funeral home. You may view and sign the online guestbook via www.RiemannBiloxi.

Moonpie, my second mother. She was the life of the party. She was a very strong individual. Mentally and physically. She was one of a kind. A most caring and loving woman. Would do anything for anybody. I learned through her what real strength was. Thank you Moonpie. Until we meet again, I miss you sadly. I love you. One of the other kids, Lisa...

Moonie was a one-of-a-kind daughter-in-law. We never had any disagreements in all the years that she was a part of my family. She always enjoyed stopping by for a visit, and always had to have a cold glass of tea. Benny and Moonie gave me 6 beautiful children.I miss her very much

What can we say except what a wonderful person Moonie was. PC loved her like she was his mom and we all know she loved her some PC. I am so grateful myself to have gotten the chance to know Moonie over all these years. She was a one of a kind. We will miss her deeply, but to know she is with the Lord and seeing David and Lil Will, and her parents, brother, and Benny should ease all our hearts just a little. We are always here for each and everyone of you, dont ever hesitate to call on us for anything because we Love all of you!! PC, Michelle, Destinee, and our new little bundle of joy!!

The loss of "Maw Maw" weighs heavy on my heart. She was such a wonderful, sweet, and funny lady. If you had problems or just needed someone to talk to she was always there, and always knew what to say to help you feel better. I always felt a special bond with her.I always left her feeling that no matter what I had a true friend. She made me feel loved. My heart will miss her, I am so thankful to have had a chance to know and LOVE such a wonderful lady. She will always have a special place in my heart. I am so sorry for your loss. I will pray for all of you, asking God to help ease your broken hearts.

Our deepest condolences to Moonie's family, we have many fond memories of Moonie she was a good friend and a wonderful person she will be missed.
I (Sandi) made many trips to North MS with Moonie in the 80's she always laughed and joked and made the long hours pass a little quicker and the trip seem less tiring...Richard has known her since they were growing up on the point and has fond memories of those days and of her, Gussie and the entire family.
May your memories bring you comfort in this difficult time.

Although I have not seen Moonie in recent years I keep up with news of her through my mother. I grew up with her children and over the years we lost contact , but I still think of the fond memories from our childhood growing up on Point Cadet. I know your grief all to well, but I also know that she is in peace and will forever live in you hearts.
