Long Beach
Thomas "Tommy" Clinton Amacker, 64, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014 in Gulfport.
Mr. Amacker was a life-long resident of Long Beach. He graduated from Long Beach High School and William Carey University. After serving for four years in the U.S. Navy, Tommy worked at Coco-Cola in Gulfport and retired after 39 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Dixie Amacker; brother, Donald Amacker; niece, Teresa Lemon; and his father-in-law, Glen Rich.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Carolyn Amacker; children, Lisa Amacker (David), Kelli Amacker (Shannon) and Thomas "Spike" Amacker (Laura); siblings, Judy Lemon, Doug Amacker (Lynn), Patty Pierro (Al) and Kathy Fedele; his mother-in-law, Jo Rich; ten grandchildren, Amanda, Ashley, Tyler, Haley, Jake, Larkyn, Tripp, Dakota, Dalton and Daytona; great-grandchild, Chaston; his dog, Sissy; his nieces, nephews and cousins; and his Coca-Cola family. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Memorial Services will be planned at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org). RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Long Beach served the family and tributes may be offered at www.riemannfamily.com.

Dad,in two days it'll be a year since you've been gone. I think about you everyday and to me it only seems like yesterday. You were the life in our family,the glue,the heartbeat and the soul. Dear Amacker Famiy:
I worked with Tommy Amacker for 10 years and not only was he my favorite but I loved him as a family member. I cried the day Tommy retired and I have cried since the tragic news has hit me. I pass his chair everyday at work it my heart breaks that I will get to see him again or help him figure out that his computer did not blow up it just was not plugged in all the way! Tommy is one of the greatest men I have ever met and I am so happy that I got to enjoy 10 wonderful years with him! Tommy I love you and I will miss you forever! Carolyn I love you just as much and I am here for you!! Whatever you need please call me! Coca-Cola is a family and we lost a special person from our family! Tommy you will forever be loved and missed!
