Aaron Hathaway, 69, of Parkland, FL, passed away Thursday, January 1st, 2015, after a short illness. Mr. Hathaway was retired from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Office of the Inspector General after 37 years of noble service, and was a member of Church by the Glades in Coral Springs FL. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Madelyn Virginia Hathaway; four children, daughter Angela Johnson of Melbourne FL, son Derrell Hathaway & daughter in-law Lisa Keese Hathaway of Waxhaw NC, daughter Amanda Sublette & son in-law Clint Sublette of Tampa FL, daughter Alicia Hathaway & son in-law Jose Antonio Gonzalez of Miami FL and eleven grandchildren. Madelyn & family,
I can't believe that I'm writing this message which is why I haven't posted sooner…………………….I am heartbroken and devastated to hear of Aaron's passing. I first met Aaron in his latter days with the FBI and was blessed to have reconnected with him when he joined the Office of the Inspector General. I knew Angela, Derrell, Amanda and Alicia (who I met once) thru Aaron's eyes and he loved you all to heaven and back again; and I can't forget about the dearly departed moms (yours and his) either. If ever I had a problem with my car, Aaron would get on the phone and interrogate the service advisor on my behalf. Aaron and I had a very special connection and I'm going to miss him sorely. May the good Lord continue to comfort you and the family during the many difficult days that lay ahead and know that I am praying for you all.

Madelyn, our mutual friend, Karla Jennings, sent me the obituary on Aaron. It's been a long time since we saw you, but we have fond memories of old times. It's so hard to lose the one who has been your best friend for all those years! Tommy and I are coming up on our 47th anniversary this August and I can't imagine what it would be like without him! Know that we are praying for you.

Madelyn, I was reviewing Facebook entries today and saw the nice comments regarding Aaron's death. Sitting here in shock unable to form a sentence. Aaron was the closest friend I've ever had including our close working relationship, our many battles on the tennis court which he generally won, and of course, our carpool. Very pleased we reconnected in the last few years and renewed that friendship with both of you. Cannot express what a shock this is as Aaron was never sick. Saddened by the news about Aaron. He was a co-worker and a friend from 2003 to 2014 while at the Office of the Inspector General in Miami-Dade County. He will be missed by all who knew him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.
