Allen Manus Obituary

Manus, Allen S., 79 years old, of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Toronto, CN, died on Monday, November 24, 2003 at the Florida Medical Center due to complications from surgery. His is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Libby" Manus; a daughter, Jane Manus von Richthofen and her husband Rene; a granddaughter Ann Jonas; and his sister, Shirley Manus Pascoe. Additional survivors include Libby's children, Sam "Pokey" Weiss of Morgantown, WV, and Joe Weiss (Frances) and their daughter Jordan also of Morgantown, WV; and many extended family members and friends throughout the United States and the world. Mr. Manus was preceded in death by his brother, Cecil Manus. A Funeral Service will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 26, 2003 at Quattlebaum Funeral Home, 1201 South Olive Avenue, West Palm Beach, Fl 33401, with Rabbi Alan Sherman, of the Jewish Federation of the Palm Beaches, officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 3:00 P.M. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mr. Manus' memory to the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, Office of Development, P.O. Box 016962, Suite C002, Miami, Florida 33101.
