Anthony William "Tony" Bernardini

Bernardini, Anthony William "Tony", 28, of Sunrise, FL passed away December 2, 2012. Anthony graduated from Bair Middle School in Sunrise FL and attended Plantation High School. He received his high school equivalency diploma from Broward College in 2004. Anthony, known to his friends as "Bernie", "Tony", and "Noni", earned certification from McFatter Technical Center for Yacht and Boat repair and became an artisan woodworker for Wolf in the Woods and Broward Yachts. He then joined the Navy and proudly served aboard the San Diego, CA based USS Carl Vinson from 2007 - 2012. Anthony was a decorated hero in the United States Navy where he received the Navy "E" ribbon; Good Conduct Medal; National Defense Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal; Sea Service Medal; Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (3); and Pistol Marksmanship Medal. His rate and class was ABE 3. He worked as an Hydraulics Operator and Primary operator during flight operations. He will be remembered in many ways but mostly for his equal passion for work and play. He was a person you loved like a brother and could be trusted, and who put a smile on your face under the toughest of conditions. Tony leaves behind many friends who meant the world to him. He is survived by his parents, Thomas Bernardini & Janet Pryczynski Bernardini; sister, Reyna Lynn Bernardini; surviving grandparents, Frances and Gerald Bernardini, and Doris Mularoni; one niece, Alexandra Hawkins, and one nephew, Daniel Hawkins. The family will recieve friends Friday from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral service will take place Friday at 7:00 PM. Inurnment will take place in the summer at Arlington National Cemetery. Cremation arrangements by T.M.
