Barbara Riggott

1939 - 2017

Barbara G. Riggott, of Hialeah, FL went peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, surrounded by family. Born Barbara Lenore Griffith on October 11th, 1939 to J. Glenn and Evelyn Griffith of Waterbury, CT, Barbara graduated Salutatorian from Crosby High School in Waterbury and went on to graduate from the Hartford Hospital School of Nursing. She worked more than 30 years at Hialeah Hospital before entering the field of Home Health Care. Barbara was an avid reader, knitter, and crossword puzzler. She enjoyed playing cribbage, growing orchids, traveling, watching old movies, spending time with her grandchildren and relaxing by the pool. She is survived by her brother Bruce Griffith (Donna), her daughter Karen Grim (Ron), sons Kenneth (Walda), Keith (Wendy), Kevin (Carrie), and Kurt (Danielle), thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A memorial of her life will take place Sunday, February 26th, 2017 at 2:30PM at Fred Hunter Funeral Home, 2401 S. University Drive, Davie, FL. Family reception to follow the service.
