A special man, strong but stern, who was respected by the people that knew him. His principals were beyond reproach and his beliefs were direct. He was very persuasive in what he wanted and demanded the same of others. A successful businessman, he provided well for his family and enjoyed life to the fullest. He will sorely be missed by his family and friends.
His shadow will certainly follow me and his memory will live in my heart as I truly understood his tough exterior but knew of his love for all of us in his family.
Godspeed Bert.....we will miss you.

We were so lucky to have our Dad as long as we did. He loved us unconditionally. I will miss him always. There is nothing like the love a father gives to his children.
Love, your daughter,
