Candy Colby-Tansey Obituary

Colby-Tansey, Candy, "Florida's First Lady of Fitness", 63, passed away on Friday, May 7, 2010. Candy was born on April 1, 1947 in Potomac, MD. After attending the University of Maryland, Candy moved to Florida, and started what became a 30-year career as a leader and innovator in the fitness industry. Best known for her popular exercise TV show, The Body Factory, Candy led her life filled with joy and gratitude and was a true mentor and motivator, both in the studio and at home. Candy was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Tansey, and her mother, Elaine Cokinos. She is survived by her loving sons, Chris and Nick; two step-children; her father; one sister; two brothers. A celebration of her life will be held for friends and family on Saturday, May 15 at 2 pm at Kraeer Fairchild Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 4061 N. Federal Hwy, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33308. Mrs.Candy was just that sweet like candy I remember her for when I was down and out she would alwayz be smiling and keeping that million dollar smile on her very beautiful face Mrs. Colby was A very KIND hearted ANGEL of this world that made it a little more sweeter just with her just being here to help other to help themself as well as others.I have so much respect as love for Mrs. Colby the world is a much better place for our Father Who Arts IN THE HEAVENS to have let all of us to have shared her presence for just being Mrs. Candy Colby SUCH A Divine Diva with a very Beautiful purpose not just for her self but for the world that she had created for the world to be so much happy and healthier Mrs.CandyColby is surely missed may Mrs. Colby Rest InPeace (AMEN)SHE DID BRING SO MUCH JOY TO THE WORLD.Mrs.Candy Colby former Student Gia
