I think of you so very often and of the fun times we shared during our teenaged years. You came to mind when I received my breast cancer diagnosis and as I sat through my treatment days. It's not fair that you were taken at such a young age, I pray that you're the guardian angel that you're family and friends need. Until we meet again!

Hey Dana,
As this holiday season is upon us I know that it will be a hard time for your parents and all of your friends who love you so much. There is a poem entitled "My First Christmas In Heaven" and it was a big help to me when I lost my mom a few years back. I hope they will search for it and find comfort in knowing that you will be spending Christmas with Jesus this year.

I have read all of Dana's entries in this guest book. I am just simply a person that she dealt with in the professional world, and never had the great opportunity of meeting her. Our phone conversations usually lasted 15 to 20 minutes, and she always had me lauging before they were through. *Even though she was usually calling me for money:) It didn't take alot to see that Dana was just a good soul. I will certainly miss her...

From the day you walked into our lives 29 year ago the world was so much brighter. If you really know how much you were loved. I hope you can meet up with Big Daddy. You are and always will be my baby girl...

You cannot always see the bird that's singing, but if you listen with your heart you'll hear her song
And the love and friendship you knew will always carry on.

So, in the course of your day where your paths may have crossed..Remember the touch of her hand to say hello and howdy do,
The twinkle in her big blue eyes,
The hugs of love and understanding,
The giggle in her voice, her laughing smile. The stories that only she to tell, and her appreciation for life, and the spirit
in her soul. She is truly one of a kind... Remembering her with love and smile in my broken heart
Loving you always, Poozie and the girls.

Hey Dana,
you had a good man, he spruced up his myspace page and dedicated it to you. He updates the photos almost constantly and posts a blog like every day :-). I haven't met him in person but have e-mailed back and forth. He really loves you and is having a real hard time coping with losing you. Send him some signs so he knows you're right there with him. He told me that he feels you all around him. God Bless you and rest in peace.

Diana and David,
My mom called me to tell me of your loss. I am so sorry. I always remember seeing Grandma Pearl's Christmas cards of Dana as she was growing up. She was such a pretty girl. After reading all the notes here, I can see that she was a person that was a great friend to have. I am just sorry that I didn't get to have a relationship with her. Again, I am so sorry.
Sincerely,
Lori

This was a person that loved life and always said life is a gift no matter how bad you think life is it is still a gift.Dana loved meeting new people and making friends and she made alot of friends.I couldn't tell you how many she had cause i don't think there is a number that high.Everybody loved Dana and she loved everybody. She always made the people around her feel comfortalbe. She always knew how to put a smile on your face when your down. She loved to hangout and just talk.Dana was a very warm, out going, down to earth, and had a huge heart and loved everthing about life. She always made you feel welcome in her home. She loved her friends, she always said she is lucky to have friends but we are the lucky ones. She loved her Mom and Dad,she said to us all of the time i have the greatest parents in the world.Never had a bad thing to say about anybody. She use to say live life to the fullest because you never know when it's going to end and she did ,always had a smile on her face. When she smiled you smiled. It a shame that there are people in the world that didn't get to meet the nicest person you ever want to meet.We are the luckest people to have known her.You can always talk to Dana, she would listen to you and she always gave her opinion but that was Dana and we loved her for it.She always got her point across in the nicest way she knew how.My wife considered Dana her best friend in the world. She can always talk to her without being judged and received good advise in return They had a great friendship that will live on.In may of 2007 our 15 month old son Adam met his Aunt Dana for the first time and they had a great time.Eventhough Adam won't remeber his Aunt at least he met her and he is the luckiest little boy to have such a great Aunt. She loved him very much. She touch everyone around her its not going to be easy not seeing Dana or listening to Dana's voice but we have memories and we are going to have to charish them to the fullist.Everybody that knew her loved her and we will never forget her even if we tryed. We love you and we will miss you. Thanks for the memories.

To Dana's parents,
Please find comfort in this poem, it helped my parents when my sister passed away many years ago. God Bless you.

I’ll lend you for a little while a child of mine, God said,

For you to love the while she lives, and mourn for when she’s dead.

It may be six or seven years, or forty two or three,

But will you, ‘til I call her back, take care of her for me?

She’ll bring her charms to gladden you. And should her stay be brief,

You’ll always have your memories as solace in your grief.

I cannot promise she will stay, since all from earth return,

But there are lessons taught below I want this child to learn.

I’ve looked this whole world over in my search for teachers true,

And from the folk that crowd life’s lane, I have chosen you.

Now will you give her all your love and not think the labour vain,

Nor hate me when I come to take this lent child back again.

I fancy that I heard them say, ‘Dear God Thy will be done’,

For all the joys this child will bring, the risk of grief we’ll run.

We will shelter her with tenderness, we’ll love her while we may,

And for all the happiness we’ve ever known, we’ll ever grateful stay.

But should the angels call her much sooner than we’d planned,

We will brace the bitter grief that comes and try to understand.

To my long distance friend, Dana....what a priviledge to get to know you and call you my friend. We were only phone buddies with our jobs being our connection. You were easy to like and easy to work with...I knew I could count on you. We had 2 1/2 yrs to get to know each other a little bit and I will cherish your voice, your laugh, your sense of ease, your kindness to me. Your work family loved you so much and their pain is sadly evident....but what a legacy to have so many people care so deeply for you. My warmest condolences to your parents....an ache no parent should have to feel. I will miss you Dana....it's difficult right now to imagine not hearing your voice again or receiving an email or fax from you signed with your smiley face in the "D". I am honored to have known you and called you my friend. I pray that the comfort of your memories will soothe the hurting hearts of your loved ones. Thank you for your friendship. I will talk with you again.

ChaCha,
I am still in such disbelief and shock. You were my best friend. You taught me so much, especially never to judge another, the way you never judged me. I will cherish all of our memories together and I will never forget all of the great times that we had. You will live in my heart forever. I feel like the luckiest person that you were a part of my life and best of all that you were able to meet my son and be a part of his life. John, Adam and I will miss you and love you always. I am so very sorry to hear of Dana's passing. I remember Dana from our teenage years, attending American High School football games, and hanging out, with the Strickland's. Dana always had a smile on her face and I think that's what kept her in my thoughts when I moved away. Dana showed everyone how to laugh and smile, and she sure knew how to brighten a person's day. Although we lost touch, she has always, and will always, remain in my thoughts. R.I.P Dana
