Daniel Coker Obituary

Coker Coker, Daniel E. "Danny", born in Ft. Lauderdale on November 18, 1968 died in Cocoa Beach on January 16, 2008. Our beautiful son was called home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 16, 2008. We miss him terribly but thank God for the 39 years we had him here on earth. He is survived by his parents, Bill and Rene; sisters, Karen Hansen of Atlanta, GA and Susan Lingey of River Edge NJ; brothers, Mike Coker of Cocoa Beach and Jim Coker of Sunrise; fiancée, Dawn Anderson and her son, Christopher of Cocoa Beach. Danny was co-owner of CJ's Restaurant in Coral Springs, FL for many years before moving to his "farm" in Cocoa Beach, FL. He had his pickup truck, ATV, John Deere lawnmower, 2 dogs, 1 cat, 1 donkey, 4 goats and 10 chickens. He enjoyed his life in Cocoa Beach so very much, that he shared with Dawn and Chris. We are so thankful that Danny went peacefully in his sleep and did not suffer. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. A second Memorial Service will be held at his home in Cocoa Beach, Sunday at 11:00 AM. Sleep peacefully son, Mom and Dad. Arrangements by T.M. I was so sorry to hear of Danny's passing. I have known him and Dawn for years personally and through my sister Kristina. I met him many times at CJ's where everyone that worked with him and for him had such a wonderful time. They were all family it seemed. I still have such a hard time processing this and I feel such sorrow for Chris and Dawn. Danny was an exceptional person and my sister's dearest and best friend. His loss is compounded for me by my sister's loss of her best friend as well, and our lives will never be the same. It was an honor to have known him and to have considered him part of our family. A nicer and greater man and human being the world will never know. I will always remember his happiness and sense of humor, his extraordinary kindness and generosity. God bless him. The world is a little darker now because of his passing. I hope he knew how loved he was by all of us. "The LORD giveth and the LORD taketh away"

I am so sorry for your loss. I Have known Jimmy since 1st grade of school, and met Danny in middle school when we worked in CJ's together. I found out that Danny lived by me when our friend Big Al passed away. I was so happy to run into Danny at the mall a few days before Christmas. He looked great he expressed how happy he was with his life. We talked of old times and of Al and how you have to live life to the fullest, that you just never know. I was so lucky to have got to spend that short time with him. I will miss him. To all of his family I am so sorry. Danny will be missed
