Daniel L. LaRock

LaRock, Daniel L, 58, of fort Lauderdale and originally of South Glens Falls, died Tuesday. October 17, 2006 at the VanAllen Nursing Home in Little Falls, NY. Born November 9, 1947 in Saratoga Springs, he was the son of the late Cecil and Katherine (Farrell) LaRock. Dan graduated from South Glens Falls High School, class of 1964 and also attended Hudson Valley Community College in Troy. He was a Civil Engineer and was an inspector of bridges and roads in New York and Florida. He was also a professional entertainer, starting as a teenager at the Great Escape. This love evolved into a second career as a professional piano player and singer for many restaurants in the Florida area. Survivors include his sister, Katty LaRock of Schenectady; his brother, Jonathan of South Glens Falls; his niece, Lynn Milone and her husband Robb and their two children Tyler and Hanna of Wilton and several aunts and cousins.
