David Peisner Obituary

David Peisner passed away on May 19, 2013 in his home in Dunedin, Fl. He died peacefully in his sleep with his loving family close by his side. His life's journey began on September 29, 1942, born to Arnold and Annette Peisner in Teaneck, NJ. He grew up in several locations but spent most of his younger years in Hollywood, Fl. He graduated from South Broward High School in 1961 where he met the love of his life Sally Martin. They married in 1964 and moved to Wichita, KS where he later graduated from Wichita State University. David then joined the United States Navy and served as a Lieutenant on the USS Intrepid during the Viet Nam war. After leaving the Navy, he became a Special Agent with the FBI under J. Edgar Hoover where he received an outstanding service award. After retiring from the FBI, David suffered his first heart attack and triple bypass surgery at the age of 37. For the past 33 years he seemed to be invincible as he battled many serious health issues. His strong willed character, his zest for life and his determination to take care of his family sustained him until the end. David is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Sally Peisner of Dunedin, his sister, Peggy Fairbrother, nephews David Fairbrother, John Fairbrother, Thomas Fairbrother and grandniece Lexis Fairbrother of Fort Lauderdale and many cousins and close friends who will miss him dearly. A memorial service will be held on June 2, 2013 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at Scarano Funeral Home 9000 Pines Blvd, Pembroke Pines Fl 33024. He will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to David's favorite charity, Doctors Without Borders.

Sally,

Buff and I have been thinking about you and praying for God's peace as you deal with Dave's death. You have both been dear friends to Tiny and Sue and we were blessed to know you through that friendship. I will never forget Dave's encouragement and help for Natalie in attending University of Miami School of Medicine. Let me know if there is anything you need. Hugs, Alexis and Buff

My brother lived a full life and fearlessly faced many challenges during his journey. His number one priority was to take care of his family and that he did until the end of his life. I love you David, my life will never be the same without you in it.
Your grateful sister Peggy
