Dear Mike Sarno and Marsh family,
even though I never actually met Denise, we spoke several times on the phone when Grandpa was in the hospital thru the years,
I have been a friend of your grandfathers for about 23 years now, we got to know each other quickly thru a mutual friend and hes been a good friend and loyal client of mine all this time.
Thru the years I have learned and listened to many stories about Denise and her boys, as I have a child very close in age.
I feel a very strong connection to you all and my heart has been broken since this tragic and very sad news.
I would give anything for a time machine, as I know we all wish the same, just know and believe God holds all the final plans and listen and pray as I know she will be with you all daily.

Denise was such an amazing volunteer at Manatee Bay & Falcon Cove!!! She was such a hard worker & was up for any challenge. You could always count on her to move mountains!! Her smile and laugh was infectious & she clearly touched many peoples lives. She was such a proud mom when Eric began college at UF & seeing him so very happy there. May her memory & her spirit live on in your hearts forever.

I met Denise at the church I attend, Christ Covenant. She would often attend our monthly Wednesday Night Ladies Bible Study. She was kind and always ready to help. She had a beautiful smile. I am lifting up the family in prayer.

I heard of This tragedy through a mutual friend. Denise and I went to Bloomfield High School and Katharine Gibbs College after HS. She was a great person and will truly be missed by all who knew her and knew of her. We reconnected on fb years ago and cheered each other on through our college days. We have known Denise and family since our kids went to Manatee Bay elementary school together and were neighbors in Isles at Weston. We have know Denise to be a truly wonderful person with a big heart and soul. She was a dedicated PTA volunteer and great mentor to my boys for years. Always had time to help other people with a big smile and a truly loved person by many. We will miss her dearly and heaven definitely gained an angel. All our condolences to Michael, Chris, Eric and family.

We rode with Denise a few times and always thought she was a great rider and always friendly to all. It is incredibly sad that this tragedy happened. While I never had the privilege of meeting Denise, I can tell by what is being stated about her is that she was a remarkable person. My deepest condolences to her family as surely they are devastated. To her friends and cycling family, my heart goes out to you as well. Chris and family. So sorry to have heard from Gian the tragic news of your Mom's passing. I remember meeting you both at FGCU on move in day where you shared a dorm with Gian. It was a bittersweet time for us as Moms. I remember her words of encouragement to me that it was time to "let go, and how lucky you both were to begin a new chapter in your lives." You both became good friends. She loved you dearly and raised such a smart, loving man.
May your memories of your Mom, and the love of your wife and extended family help bring you comfort in the days ahead.

I can remember the first time that I rode with CFB. I showed up with my new bike, no clip in shoes, no real knowledge of cylcing. I admitted to Denise that I had never been out on a ride with a group and she made sure to introduce me to everyone and she stayed with me the entire time. I was a new rider and She was the person that showed me the ropes of riding with a group and how to be a better cyclist. She was an amazing cyclist and loved helping others and was a VERY strong leader. She made me feel at home with her loving and caring ways.
I broke my clavicle almost 3 weeks ago now and I didn't contact her as I wanted to go out riding so badly. I posted about my broken clavicle and she responded, wishing me the best and quickest recovery so that they could see me soon.
I will ride on with her in mind.
Thank you Denise for everything you did for myself and everyone else, I know you touched each and every person you met.

Denise, a mutual friend told me to ride with CFB and contact you. You were encouraging from the get go. You were supportive when i didnt know if I could do your ride. You kept in contact and texted me about rides and how to follow posts and get info. That is what everyone says about you - you were a wonderful woman and truly kind and caring. My deepest sympathy for the family of Denise. I met this wonderful lady 7 years ago at Falcon Cove and our paths crossed again in Boy Scouts and at St Bonaventure with her younger son , Jeremy. She was also a Jersey girl, and that became our instant connection as well as chaperoning various field trips at school. I never had the pleasure of teaching her boys but will always remember that warm friendly small, big heart and open hands to help of this wonderful mom. . RIP Denise. for you family.

Just saw Denise a couple of weeks ago at the Adopt-a-Bike Ride where she was a group leader. We talked for a while before the ride started--she really loved cycling.
