Well my friend it has been 30 days since you left my life. I am so empty without you. I wish you were here, but I know that God needed you more. I know you didn't want me to go crazy and I haven't. I will see you again.

Traci, Lamont and Steve,
There is no greater love than that of a mother and her children. Continue to hold each other up but, most of all, keep God in the forefront. He will guide you through. And, rest assured, she'll be looking down on you...
Please know that understanding and my condolences go with you always!
With deepest sympathy,
Ms. Elsenna

Elaine...
You have always been like a second mother to me. You taught me how to dress. You told me how to be a lady. You taught me how to cook. I remember your collard greens, you got me hooked on fried plantains with the sugar on top, and also your most famous Milky Way Cake. But the most important thing was that you was always there for me when I needed you. I can talk to you and tell you whats wrong and always told me to practice what I preach. You were loving, caring, had a wonderful sense of humor, and talented. I wanted to be like you. You knew how to do everything. Especially when it came to decorating. I am truly going to miss you. I kept it cool cause I just hoped and prayed there was a solution for you to help you stay with us. I held back my tears cause I didn't want to see you down. But I had to let go and let God. I just hated to see you in so much pain because growing up I really don't ever remember you being sick. You was like Super Woman lol. But I promise you from the bottom of my heart that i will never forget you or let Gabrielle forget you. And I still remember what you told me Christmas Eve. I promised you that I am going to go back to school and better my life for me and Gabby. And also going to start her college fund. I made a promise to you and i am going to keep it. And another thing you told me was to leave them men alone that don't have anything. And I must say I am. I met someone special. I wish you was here still so you could have met him. And I also wanna make another promise to you Elaine to be there more in the grandkids lives so Gabby will know them more.
I want you to know how lucky I feel
to have a Godmother like you. Someone
who always loves me no matter what I do.
When I think of you I count my blessings, and thank the Lord above,
that I have you for my Godmother,
because Godmothers are chosen with love
I will always love you Elaine
Love Your Goddaughter

Elaine, I know you told me to be brave and not to cry, but what am I to do now that you have gone. I have reached for the phone all week to call you so I can just hear your voice. You were my rock, my sister and most of all my best friend. I will always be here for your children, grandchildren and Lysette. You were the one person that knew me more than I knew myself. Tell my Dad hi for me and also know that you will be greatly missed. Thanks for helping me grow up and most of all thank you for giving me the priviledge of having you in my life. I will love you forever. I am so glad that I got the chance to say goodbye to you.

Elaine Bland always put her children and grandchildren first in her life. She loved everyone, that came in her life with no reservations. She always gave encouragement and a smile to everybody. Her life was blessed by her belief that there was something good in everyone.

You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Losing someone you love is unbearably hard... words just cannot express the empathy that goes out to you during this time. You have a special, sweet angel in heaven watching over you.
~And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with Me that you also may be where I am.~ John 14:3
We love you.
