Frank Stark Obituary

Frank left us on June 30, 2021, from his home in Sebring, FL, at the age of 79.

The son of Frank Stark Sr., and Selena Riggs Carter, he entered the world on October 29, 1941 in Boston, MA. The youngest of nine siblings, Frank spent much of his upbringing in Newton, MA, a beautiful town directly outside the city limits.

Frank was a man of people. His relationships from across his lifetime were bountiful and most importantly, they counted. A fervent patriot from the beginning, Frank joined the US Army at a time when the social structure seemed to be against it, during the Vietnam-era. Entering the service as a Private, he worked as Military Police while stationed in El Paso, TX. Later in life he would often revel in his telling of his experiences on the US/Mexican Border while the country he loved was transitioning through the 1960's. Outside of his family and friends, his military service was chief among his points of pride, campaigning passionately for Veterans' affairs through his lasting days.

After the Army, Frank worked primarily as an electrician, finally settling in Boca Raton, FL, and later Lake Worth, FL. Achieving his certification as a Master Electrician, he spent most of his professional life at Imperial Electric with his friend Mike Terango. Outside of his work, Frank was an avid skydiver and gun owner, often spending time with his best friend Jerry, his pet boxer Madison, and his cats Tex and Storm.

Frank is survived and missed by his daughters Dottie Knutson of Chesapeake, VA, Donna Cardullo of Bellingham, MA, stepdaughter Amy Messina of Boca Raton, FL, son Frank Stark III, and daughter Janine Reid. He consistently found connection in his grandchildren Miranda Morris (Zachary) of Millville, MA, Katie Auclair (Taylor) of Norfolk, VA, and Kobe Douglas and Kira Lee of Boca Raton, FL, as well as great grandchildren Oliver and Layla. Frank is also survived by his former wife of 33 years, Kristine Ferrell. The family would also like to directly thank Mike Terango for all he did for Frank over the years.

Frank will be missed in a way that everyone can only hope to be missed. He was a giving man to the end and in his final act of kindness, he donated his body for medical research. In lieu of flowers and in the spirit of Frank, his family requests you do an act of service for others. There is nothing Frank would want more.
