Frederick Weitz Obituary

Between March 3, 1926 and February 21, 2018, Fred Weitz had quite the life. It was almost cut short, back around 1935, when Fred contracted deadly meningitis. After battling valiantly for two whole years, Fred won the gift of eight more decades. Although doctors had warned that Fred might be only fit for the simplest of tasks, he fooled them all by graduating Cornell University, managing a well-known corporate plant, and dazzling folks with wit and wisdom. But it was love (with a capital L) that ultimately won out. As Fred grew older and even wiser, he made sure that others knew just how much he cared. For this he will be well remembered and sorely missed. As Fred joins beloved wife Beatrice, precious parents Hannah and Herman, plus adored family and friends in the "Great Beyond," he leaves behind the following grieving souls: son Mitchell, daughters Lori and Linda, "sons" Willy and Gary, "daughter" Judi, "better-half" Mimi, "Mamas" Janette and Murel, plus many others within his nurturing circle. Fred loved birds, and a little birdie told us that he remains forever grateful for each and every one of these faithful companions.
