George Gorvine Obituary

Gorvine, George, 77, of Boca Raton, FL passed away at home Thursday, November 17, 2005. He is survived by his beloved wife Muriel, devoted children Sharon (Jerry) Manko and Dr. Jeffrey (Colleen) Gorvine as well as grandchildren Allison, Danielle, Benjamin, and Jacob. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts to Lillian and Jacob Gorvine. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Mamaroneck School System in New Jersey as a school psychologist and reading consultant. For 32 years, George enjoyed the students at Central School of Mamaroneck and will be remembered for his caring and loving ways. He was a member of the American Psychological Association, Reading Council of New York State and the New York Teachers Association. George was one of the five co-founders of Temple Beth Am in Yorktown Heights, New York. Memorial contributions may be made to Boca Pointe Cancer Research, Attn: Annette Weiss, 22612 Meridiana Dr., Boca Raton, FL 33433. Funeral services Sunday, November 20, 2005 at 3:30 P.M. at Temple Beth El, 333 S.W. 4th Avenue, Boca Raton. Gutterman Warheit Memorial Chapel, 800-992-9262.
