I knew George when we attended Benton Harbor Community College (now Lake Michigan College). At that time we were very close and a better friend I could not ask for. After we graduated we went different directions, however he did attend my wedding in 1961. I am sorry to hear of his passing, but glad to know he had a full and happy live. My best wishes to his family. John

While I did not know Mr. Hamann the work that he did to help start the Cooper City Optimist Club has flourished into a legacy that he would have been, and his family can be, proud of. Deepest sympathies to the family.

I have been an active Cooper City Optimist member since 1978. I remember George and all the things he contributed to our club. George was one of the charter members of the club. We current members appreciate the groundwork he helped lay for the successes we enjoy today.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to George's family. I did not know him, but as a long time volunteer in the Cooper City Optimist Club, I admire his efforts in getting our club off the ground. The importance of the clubs service to the youth of our community is evidenced by it's growth and the number of participants in our programs.

I AM A CURRENT BOARD MEMBER WITH THE COOPER CITY OPTIMIST. I NEVER HAD THE PLEASURE OF MEETING GEORGE BUT AM VERY PROUD TO BE CARRYING ON THE WORK THAT HE STARTED AND PUT SO MUCH TIME INTO WITH THE OPTIMIST. MY BEST WISHES ARE WITH THE FAMILY IN THEIR TIME OF SORROW.
