dear family, i'm so sad to hear of jimmy's passing. we went back a long way; from riley school, church school (peggy would give us rides). we went to OCHS together and SUNY where he gave me many rides to school in his Opel. it would be nice to see him, slap on the back and say "good to see you old pal."

Such fond memories of the Goddens staying with us while visiting the Coast Guard Academy. Memories of Jim wandering the campus just to catch a glimpse of his daughters as they marched to and from classes. He was so very proud of all three of his beautiful, smart, kind-hearted daughters. He was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, mentor, educator and cherished friend to so many. Lets all live our lives as he lived his - with love, kindness, generosity and a GREAT sense of humor.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Godden family. Mr. Godden raised 3 lovely daughters and his beautiful soul continues to shine through them and their children.
May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Jim was a modern day Renaissance man, an extraordinary educator who impacted countless students lives during his tenure at Calusa Elementary. It was an honor to work with him as well as enjoy his friendship. We are holding his family close to our hearts and keeping them in our prayers. Love, The Wotton Family
