John Strobis Obituary
Jack is survived by his wife, Sys and six children: Justin, Kara (David Donvito), Ryan, Peter, Jacqueline, and Steffen; grandchildren Michael and Ava Donvito; mother Lillian (Peter Scapicchio); sister Marie (Ralph Englert) and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Jack to the Strobis Glaucoma Foundation. Donations can be mailed to 880 N.W. 13th Street, Suite 1A, Boca Raton, FL 33486. Glick Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Jack -my friend my college room mate my brother I am in disbelief .. you are immortal ... you are a gift to anyone you met ... instant joy for life and unforgettable memories ... and hard to believe you wink and a lifetime flies by since 1974 and stone hill days.
To jacks family I never got to know Jack was the BEST! We shared a lot but none better than to know he was destined to be remembered and loved by all he ever met. Instantly popular and magnetic and oh so dedicated to doing great things while being so very normal and absolutely every ones best friend. I love you Jack. Noe I really miss you!
To your family let Jack inspire your every waking moment to live life to its fullest as Jack would want you to do. Let nothing ever stop you and don't be the least bit hesitant to reach as high as you can as you can count on Jack's strong hand to pull you up to the top!

Doc was the best family doctor we´ve ever had. When we moved to Sebastian, I tried my best to get him to relocate also, to no avail. He treated every member of my family with complete dignity, and we all felt he was not only our doctor, but our friend.
Doc, thank you for all you´ve done. You are missed already, and will be remembered always.

I was fortunately recommended to Dr. Strobis from fellow Boca HS teacher Paul Pirrotta. Every time I left his office I felt like I had attended a Pep Rally for Life--BRHS, sports, officiating, Red Sox, etc while getting lectured on getting back to good health in always a positive way. Dr. Strobis was the guy you wanted to be with and when he had his opportunity to go to the Masters he ended up saving a man's life when the fan had a heart attack and no one else came to his rescue. My condolences to his family AND his wonderful staff who worked with him and the people who were blessed to know him.

This morning in the Sun-Sentinel obituary was the first that we learned of our much loved and trusted Dr. Strobis passing away. We are grieved for his wife and family. He was so proud of each of them. He will be so missed by us. We have been under his care for about 30 years. Goodbye, faithful servant, who gave your all for your patients´ well being. He took wonderful care of my parents. He was compassionate with a great sense of humor. One Sunday, I called him off the golf course to come to Andy Roddick charity tennis event and take care of Andy Murray. He was wonderful and we invited him to enjoy the tennis day with us. He said thank you but wanted to fet back to his golf. WHAT A WONDERFUL MAN HE WAS. Sending prayers to his family.

We are totally shocked by the untimely loss of Dr. Strobis. He has been our doctor since 1998 when he was taking care of my father. Dr. Strobis was always there for us and we will always miss his kindness and total sincerity with every aspect of our lives. I am one of the many nurses who worked with Dr Strobis. We are all shocked and saddened by his passing. We love and respect him as a doctor and as just a wonderful man.
I worked as a night shift charge nurse and there were times when we have to call him in the middle of the night and not once did he get upset about the late call. He listens to the nursing staff and takes our observations into consideration. He respects and appreciates the nursing staff and acknowledges our role in his patient´s care. In behalf of the nursing staff of BRRH, we will miss you, Dr. Strobis. You touched so many lives in a positive way. God bless you. Rest In Peace.

Doctor Strobis has been my doctor for probably in excess of 20 years. My favorite memory will always be that he sent me off with books to read. He knew I was from Montana and grew up in the SF Bay Area so he always gave me books regarding those areas.

Wow!! This is a tough one. Dr. Strobis was our beloved doctor for 22 years. We are devastated. He was such a kind, compassionate, and humble man. He was so proud of his children, always sharing stories and pictures and always asking about ours. He loved to talk golf and baseball. We have lost a truly wonderful man that we consider a dear family member and our community has lost one of the greatest. Our deepest condolences to his family and to Jeanne and Judy. It's just an unbelievable loss.

There are no words to describe the feeling I had when I heard the news of Dr. Strobis' untimely passing. He was not only an excellent doctor, he was very knowledgeable, compassionate and always available when needed. He was my doctor for about 25 years and was the doctor to many of my family members as well. Each visit he would always ask about everyone.
He was my "go to" doctor always and I am going to be lost without him, he always had an ear and an open heart and always showed true compassion. He was an incredible person, friend, man, doctor. RIP Dr. Strobis, there will never be another you - you were taken much too soon and will be missed dearly.

I am devastated over the loss of my dear friend and colleague Dr. John (Jack ) Strobis.
Jack was a kind, compassionate and superlative physician. His devotion to his patients and family was exemplary and beyond reproach. He would frequently call me and ask, "Howard, do you have a pencil? Take down this number." What would follow was a referral of one of his many adoring patients who I knew was well cared for, treated with compassion and the utmost respect.
Jack could be found every morning between 7 and 8 am on the 9th floor in "his corner". So many mornings, I would sneak up behind him, fix his collar, straighten his tie and give him a hug. This was always followed by his big smile.
My fondest memories will be the many hours Jack and I spent together on our oasis, the golf course. For hours, we would laugh, joke, and tweak our swings. We formed an eternal bond and friendship.
Jack, I love you and already miss you. Although I am heartbroken, be assured there will always be a place in my heart for you.

Our deepest sympathies go out to the Strobis family. We loved having Dr. Strobis as our family physician. He was one of the most gentle, warm, and kindest people we´ve ever had as a doctor. I first met him at Boca Regional hospital, only a few months after I began working there. He made such an impression on me that I called his office and practically begged them to take my husband and I as his patients. I was thrilled when he said yes! Over the past 14 years it was a pleasure getting to know him and he getting to know us. We will miss him very much but will always remember his shining light that touched our lives.

As a new nurse back in 1997, Dr Strobis quickly become one of my favorite doctors. He was caring and attentive to all his patients and always respectful and patient with staff. He later became my doctor and remains a mentor for me over the years. He even encouraged me to go back to school as a nurse practitioner as a single mom. I am thankful for his years support, was truly a special man, I will miss him dearly. RIP Doc

How did you manage to make each patient feel as if they were your personal friend? How did you manage to find the time to visit us in the hospital once or twice every day? How did you remember all the personal details of our lives? You were a very special man on this earth and you will be remembered always.
