I was blessed to know the Gereffi family since 1962 that would have put Mark @ about 9 years old and Paul and I were 10. Our lives were idyllic growing up in early Wilton Manors. Mark was a jester and lived to make people laugh. One of his early claims to fame was the ability to speak words backwards like it was his first language.
His smile and his light will be missed. May God hold you all close to His Heart. - Pat Sullivan (formerly of 300 NW 30th Ct. '61-'68)

Still thinking of you everyday. I miss you Mark and our talks. I know you're in a beautiful, wonderful place. That comforts me. I also know that you're watching over Stephanie, Nick and Jason and your two beautiful granddaughters, Leah and Mila. We are getting through it slowly. I try to do something everyday to honor your generous spirit. Love ya. Tonya

Can't help but remember you forever we had so many great memories! Dolphins preseason practice, meeting Dwayne wade, NBA finals watching every game of that championship season sitting in computer chair next to you. Honestly you and your family taught me how to be a man and How family is always first no matter what. Although at the moment I wasn't ready to act on all the examples you gave me, a lot of what you do and told me man to man has stuck with me to this day. I'll always strive to love everyone as much as you did mark. God bless the Gereffi family

What I remember most about you Mark is your boundless kindness. So pleasant to be around because you were so nice to everyone. So good to the kids when yours and ours played together. Every gathering felt warmer and happier because you were there. Any time I asked you for help you were generous and giving of your abundant energy. You are missed here Mark but no doubt they are happy to have you in heaven and God willing, I hope to see you there someday.

Mark was a friend more than a 'mailman'. He certainly went above and beyond to many senior citizens here at Gateway.
He was very proud of his son and daughter and always told us how both were doing.
My thoughts are with his family and their loss.
I'll miss our talks Mark!

So saddened to hear of your loss. You have been through so much. You are all such a great and loving family. The Medicus Gereffi memories go way back. My fondest was of the visit Aunt Jean, Dan and I made to Ft. Lauderdale after Mom died. It was such a hard time for us and when we got to Emily's house, not only were we greeted by the warm sun but we were greeted with warm smiles and plenty of kisses! The love we received made my pain feel a little less. Mark took me out on the town every night and we just reminisced about our families and all the fun we had. No matter how long in between our visits - when we get together time fades away. It's like we are young and silly all over again. You guys are very special people.
Mark my sweet friend, you will be dearly missed - Until we meet again!!! I'm sure Aunt Jean is so happy to see you!!
Paul and Gary - Please be comforted by our love and know you are in our prayers.

I'm so blessed to have gotten to know Mark. We share our granddaughter, Mila Zuri. He was the most kind, loving and generous man I've known. There is nothing he wouldn't do for you. He never wanted to draw attention to his needs, but he spent his time serving others. I love you Mark. I'm thankful for you and I know you are with God. We will take good care of Stephanie and we will make sure Mila always knows her Papa. Be at peace and I will see you on the other side my dear friend. Love, Tonya
