Michael Nardozzi Obituary

Nardozzi, Michael "Mike," 93, of Pompano Beach, FL, passed away March 14, 2005. He was born in East Boston, MA, November 5, 1911. He graduated from Stoughton (MA) High School and won the History Medal. He was a Letterman in Football and was awarded a four-year scholarship to, Boston University and was a graduate of Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. Through his years of being a pharmacist he owned and operated six pharmacies in Massachusetts and one in Pompano Beach, FL. Mike was a boatsman and sailed his 44 foot Matthews from Cape Cod to: Pompano. He was also a wonderful painter working with the medium of oils. He loved golf,. music and dancing. He Was a member of the Stoughton (MA) Rotary Club and the Pompano Beach Rotary Club where he led the singing at each Friday meeting. He is survived by his wife. Mildred R. "Millie" Nardozzi of Pompano Beach, two sons, David (Phyllis) Nardozzi of Coral Springs, FL and Dr. Peter (Sandy) Nardozzi of Bath, ME and a daughter, Leah Godfrey of Hinghman, MA, a step-son, Richard (Cheryl) Ohlson, of Dennis, MA, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Also survived by a sister, Lena Westgate of Kingston, MA and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Kraeer Funeral Home, 200 N. Federal Hwy., Pompano Beach, FL on Friday, March 18, from 5 to 7 P.M followed by a Memorial Funeral Service at 7:00 PM with Rev. Dr. Ron Kilpatrick of the Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church, Ft. Lauderdale, officiating. those who wish may send contributions in his memory to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements entrusted to Kraeer Funeral Home, Pompano Beach, FL, (954) 941-4111.

Remembering Uncle Mike and summers at the "windmill cotttage", trips on the "Leah" with Mike as captain and my dad as first mate. How he loved being "Captain Mike". What fun we had.
